As for the poster design, i’ve chose the quote of ‘Monkeys only smile when they are scared‘ from www.unkno.com
1. Visual research

2. Sketches
These are my first two sketches, which are banned by Liwen. lol
Later on i’ve came out with some sketches again, and planned to do something that human beings are usually scared of, like Fear factor, bungee jumping, ghosts, some scary animals like sharks, dinosaurs, lions and blah. Anyway, Liwen still don’t really like the idea too.
Initially i’ve planned to use Baby Milo or Paul Frank type of monkey to illustrate it. But later on i realized that Mojo Jojo is a monkey too! So i decided to use Powerpuff Girls as the main idea, and the ugly Mojo jojo to portray the monkey.I’ve roughly came out with this idea, but i don’t think it’s really nice actually.
And after that came out with this sketch, using powerpuff girls too, but using different angle.
Li Wen later suggested me to change the view again, which is better too.
3. Work in progress.
So i started working on it, giving them sexy legs as Li Wen wished. lol. Also added high heels for them. Mainly i’ve used Illustrator to trace it.
In the end, I’ve edited it using Photoshop, giving some effects,
But Li Wen still prefer the simple one, so here goes. 
I’ve added some slight shadows too.
After that, I’ve used Photoshop to darken the shadows again, gave Mojo jojo some bruised marks and two broken tooth, gave more textures to Powerpuff Girls’ legs, and edited their heels to be more like patent leather high heels.

5. Rationale
As you may know, the quote ‘Monkeys only smile when they are scared’ was initially done very straight forward so i’ve changed the ideas with the help of Liwen and my classmates. Later, I’ve used the Powerpuff Girls (PPG) & Mojo Jojo(MJ) as the main character.
MJ is usually the one who is always finding faults with PPG. But we all know that PPG is the winner almost all the time. lol. So in this case, i’ve portrayed MJ as the one who accidentally took Bubbles’ favourite octopus soft toy, and unluckily he was caught red-handed by PPG. Hence, he was kinda afraid, and smile widely to PPG and let go of Bubbles’ octopus.
